Etchings inspired by Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley
Cliffe Castle is a museum in the North of England with a substantial ethnographic and natural history collection. I was given the opportunity to work directly from its sculptures and display cabinets from 2018-2020 which inspired a large exhibition of etchings and drawings. These will be on show in the museum until April 2021 and reflect a kind of visionary diary, a gut response to the world around me and homage to this fascinating collection.
My overriding theme is our vulnerability to forces beyond our control, including a search for meaning in a complex age and our increasing disconnection from the natural world.
All etchings are for sale and include free global postage. See 'Purchase' for further details.
Framed works are also available to buy from the exhibition: The Inspiration of Cliffe Castle
