Buying Original Etchings
Individual signed and numbered etchings are available from this site. Each is a unique work (not a reproduction), hand printed in my studio in Riddlesden. As such there will be subtle variations in the finished prints from inking and wiping the aluminium plate.
The beauty of etching for me is not to produce a lot of the same print but to be able to develop an idea, making adjustments to the original drawing on the metal itself, or take a story in a different direction with the addition of watercolour. As I like to treat these as individual works they are either in very small editions (maximum of 10, eg the third print of an etching plate will be denoted as 3/10) or more generally one-offs. This can be written as 1/1 or A/P (Artists Proof). The paper I use depends on what mood or atmosphere I'm trying to create. They are all acid free, which means they will not yellow with age. The measurements given are to the plate mark though there is usually a good border around this for mounting and presenting the print
Prices are listed under the individual images. Postage is free in the UK but please email for global delivery and enquires.
If you're in anyway dissatisfied with your original print it may be returned for a refund.
